CSS Generation
Ideas on faster ways to generated custom CSS across multiple themes.
Using a Spreadsheet for CSS with AI?¶
NOTE ON THIS: This led to creation of a tool that writes CSS from a GoogleSheet ... it's cool and it was used to build the CSS fo this site and others. The code for this tool will be released soon.
For managing many themes, this would help when updates are made to one theme: At least it would be clear that this may need to be made in another theme. And it would be good just for comparing styles across themes, just for comparative CSS purposes/study.
It also might be nice for collaboration? Since GoogleSheets are so easy to share and collaborate on ... collaborators could even write in comments if a style is off or can be improved.
Using AI¶
The issue: Managing light and dark versions of a theme can be annoying, let alone many versions, because if it's decided to make a change then new selector or definitions need to be added in other places, like the dark version, and this is prone to error or forgetfulness.
Idea is to just manage the "light theme" or one them and then write the alternatives inside comments right next to the main version and then asking AI to extract the additional definitions
